Peppermint Herbal Tea

The menthol in peppermint oil increases blood flow and provides a cooling sensation, possibly easing pain. And peppermint acts as a muscle relaxant and pain reliever, it may help diminish certain types of headaches. Mint and peppermint tea may soothe nerves, which may help reduce stress. Lowering stress may help decrease the chance of getting a headache brought on by stress.


Ginger Herbal Tea

Ginger contains compounds, such as shogaols and gingerols. These compounds may have anticancer, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiallergic benefits. Tea made from ginger root can calm stress and reduce inflammation. One of the main benefits of ginger tea is that it can help reduce nausea.


Feverfew

Feverfew, tanacetum parthenium, a flowering plant in the daisy family has been promoted as an ingredient in tea that can fight migraines. Sip on this aromatic tea during a migraine attack to reduce its impact. It may also prevent migraines from happening in the first place. Feverfew leaves contain many different chemicals, including one called parthenolide. Parthenolide or other chemicals decrease factors in the body that might cause migraine headaches.
